Trump Turns French Riots Into A Warning For Kansas Voters

President Donald Trump warned Kansas voters on Monday that violent riots could sweep American cities if Democrats win the upcoming election. He used the recent unrest in France as a direct example of what he says is at stake in the midterm race. The president spoke in Wichita while campaigning for under-pressure Senator Roger Marshall.

"If you want to see what's at stake in this election, just look at France," Trump told the crowd. He described the European nation as a once-great country now being destroyed by migrants and communists. The New York Post reported that he called the situation a battle for Western civilization itself.

Trump pointed to specific numbers from the French protests to make his case about American safety. He noted that at least 2,400 arrests were made over a single weekend of violence. The Washington Examiner stated that demonstrators set a historic town hall ablaze in the town of Limonge. In several cities, authorities estimate that 3,000 businesses have been damaged or ransacked.

He blamed "globalist, left-wing politicians" for importing millions of migrants who he claims hate Western values. Trump said these leaders have treasonously brought in people incompatible with our way of life. He declared, "They despise everything about France, and they're destroying that country." The Washington Times noted he framed this overseas crisis as a preview for what happens here.

Trump argued that radical Democrats want to see similar burning steeples and raging fires in America. He claimed they want to open borders, shut down power plants, and turn children transgender. He added that they are willing to confiscate money and defile the American flag. "We're not going to let that happen to this country," he told the crowd.

The rally in Kansas comes at a critical time for Senator Roger Marshall's re-election bid. A local pastor named Adam Hamilton, the Democratic nominee, ties with the Republican according to recent polls. Marshall faces criticism over his residency and a lawsuit against 700 patients for unpaid medical bills. Trump tried to shift the focus to the broader national threat instead.

The president also attacked Michigan Democratic nominee Abdul el Sayed during the same event. He called him "an arrogant guy" and "a fake doctor" because he lacks a medical license. Trump noted that el Sayed has family members who identify with the Muslim Brotherhood. He insisted that el Sayed has never practiced as a licensed physician.

Trump reiterated his core message to the Wichita crowd about the future of the United States. The Washington Examiner reported that the rally was interrupted by multiple protesters during his speech. Despite the interruptions, he maintained that the American streets will not burn like those in France.
