Oh, you’ve got to love it when a political stunt backfires in real-time. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) thought he had a brilliant idea—launching a “whistleblower” portal for people to expose “corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety.” Sounds noble, right? Except for the minor detail that the government already has whistleblower protections in place, making Schumer’s little project look more like a partisan complaint box than a legitimate attempt at accountability.
But here’s where it gets hilarious. Instead of being flooded with reports about President Donald Trump or Elon Musk—Schumer’s clear targets—people turned the tables and started using the portal against Democrats. And it was glorious.

First, users dug up Schumer’s own words from 2020 when he stood outside the Supreme Court and threatened Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch. “You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!” he bellowed. Not exactly the stuff of responsible leadership.
Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist even took the time to fill out the form, unsure whether Schumer’s behavior qualified as “retaliation” or just plain “criminal activity.”

Then, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) jumped in with a list of his own whistleblower reports: “Great! I wanna report: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and the entire corrupt Democrat party that weaponized & abused the federal government for the past four years.” Ouch.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, Chris Martenson took the opportunity to report Dr. Anthony Fauci for “criminal activity,” throwing in “fraud” and “wasteful spending” for good measure. His complaint? Fauci’s role in covering up crucial information about the origins of COVID-19.
