The arrest of a reality television personality has drawn national attention after authorities in Georgia announced serious charges connected to an alleged assault involving a minor.
Sidney Starr, whose reported legal name is Sidney Favors, is a 37-year-old reality television figure known for appearances on programs including Atlanta Plastic, Love & Hip Hop: New York, and Girlfriends and Champagne. Starr also received publicity in 2021 after being announced as the first transgender cast member of a spin-off connected to the Bad Girls Club franchise.

According to the Daily Mail, Favors was arrested Sunday following an investigation into an incident that authorities say occurred at the Embassy Suites hotel in Hapeville, Georgia.
The Hapeville Police Department issued a statement saying officers responded on Aug. 2, 2026, to the hotel located at 3450 International Boulevard. The department said the investigation resulted in charges involving "multiple felony offenses related to an alleged sexual assault involving a juvenile."
Reports indicate Favors has been charged with sodomy, aggravated child molestation, and sexual battery against a child under the age of 16. As of the latest publicly available reports, the allegations remain before the courts, and Favors is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
News of the arrest quickly spread across social media, where users circulated a booking photograph that was reportedly taken after Favors was taken into custody. The case also renewed attention to the reality television personality's earlier rise to prominence.
