Federal agents arrested two illegal immigrants in Pennsylvania for allegedly casting ballots in recent American elections. The Daily Wire reported that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) took these two into custody just days ago.
Cliff Sanon, a 39-year-old Haitian national, faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. According to allegations, he cast a ballot in the November 2022 election and attempted to register once more during February 2026.
The second suspect is Dilea Ochoa-Perez, a 43-year-old Mexican national charged with voting in two separate general elections. She now faces a maximum of two years behind bars and a $200,000 fine. HSI Philadelphia acting Special Agent Nathan Abel said every unlawful ballot undermines confidence in the election process. He added that HSI remains committed to working with partners to protect the integrity of U.S. elections.
Agents also nabbed a legal immigrant from Senegal in New Jersey for voting in three federal elections. Breitbart reported that Sanata Coulibaly entered the country in 1993 and received a green card in 2009. Markwayne Mullin, the DHS Secretary, stated that this Senegalese alien faces charges for unlawfully procuring citizenship or naturalization and for voting as an alien after reportedly casting ballots in three general elections in New Jersey. Mullin warned that sanctuary politicians claim this fraud is not happening, but he insisted it is a serious threat to the country. He affirmed that non-citizens have no right to vote in American elections.
Governor Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey acknowledged that a software glitch permitted roughly 6,600 foreign nationals to sign up for voting in the state since 2023. DHS officials suggest as many as 35,000 foreign nationals might be registered in New Jersey alone. A recently filed lawsuit in California asserts that the DHS program in reality intimidates and forces American citizens who are exercising their fundamental right to vote. Reason Magazine noted that several institutions filed this legal challenge last week.
Senators Chuck Schumer and Alex Padilla published evidence from an unnamed whistleblower showing the initiative is knowingly sweeping known U.S. citizens for investigation. The whistleblower report states officers have a quota to review five subjects per hour. A training video transcript reveals that DHS is cross-referencing data with information brought in through supplemental magic. This system checks if naturalized citizens registered to vote before gaining their citizenship. The New York Times reported that DHS sent a list of 185 alleged non-citizen voters to Nevada, only to find every single one was actually a U.S. citizen. As part of a surge, HSI agents were ordered starting September 1 to interrogate people suspected of committing voter fraud.
I see a dangerous pattern where the government tries to fix one problem by creating another. The arrest of these illegal voters is right, but the method used to catch them risks hurting your family. If HSI agents are interrogating U.S. citizens based on flawed data, your right to vote is under attack. The government cannot simply sweep up known citizens and call it a win for election security. We need strict enforcement against illegal voting, but we must also protect the voices of American citizens from being diminished.
