Vance Speaks At Event In Pennsylvania

Vice President JD Vance delivered a forceful speech in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, highlighting the passage of the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” — a sweeping legislative achievement of President Donald Trump’s second term. The address, delivered in a key battleground state, emphasized the bill’s focus on domestic investment, tax relief, and trade protectionism.

Vance, who cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate to ensure the bill’s passage, described it as a defining moment for American workers and manufacturers. The legislation passed both chambers of Congress without a single Democratic vote.

“If you’re building here, if you’re making here, if you’re working in the United States … we just gave you a big, fat tax break,” Vance said. “But if you’re going to ship American jobs overseas, thanks to Donald Trump, you’re going to pay a big, fat tariff.”

The law includes extensive tax incentives for businesses that invest in U.S.-based production and employment. Vance claimed the bill created “the biggest tax breaks maybe in American history” for companies that prioritize domestic operations. The legislation aims to redirect capital back into the American economy by lowering the tax burden on small and medium-sized enterprises that hire American workers.

One major provision fulfills a 2024 campaign promise from President Trump: the “No Tax on Overtime” rule. Under the new law, workers can deduct up to $12,500 in overtime earnings for individual filers and up to $25,000 for joint filers through 2028. “You earned that money — you ought to keep it in your pocket,” Vance stated.

Vance also referenced recent Treasury data indicating that blue-collar wages have increased more rapidly in the first five months of Trump’s second term than under any administration since 1969. These gains have reportedly outpaced inflation, signaling a reversal of prior economic trends that eroded purchasing power for working-class families.

“We’re seeing wages go up, inflation go down, and factories come back,” Vance said. “That is a testament to great presidential leadership and the great American people.”

The Vice President concluded by affirming the administration’s commitment to further border security and continued economic growth.
