Trump Team Responds To Ad

In the lead-up to the expected rematch between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden in the 2024 election, tensions between the two campaigns continue to escalate. On Sunday, the Biden-Harris campaign released a Mother's Day video ad targeting Trump, accusing him of being bad for women and families.

The ad, posted on the "Biden-Harris HQ" account on X, begins with heartwarming images of mothers and their children but quickly takes a negative turn. The ad claims that Trump wants to separate mothers from their children, restrict access to IVF, and monitor women's pregnancies. It ends with a call to viewers to "stop Trump" this Mother's Day.

In response, Trump's team issued a scathing statement, calling the ad "disgusting" and accusing the Biden campaign of suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome." They also claimed that Trump continues to "live rent-free" in the minds of the Biden campaign, even on a day meant to celebrate mothers.

A Biden campaign official defended the ad, stating that mothers will suffer under a second Trump term. They claimed that the government would be allowed to monitor pregnancies and "rip families apart" under Trump and that families deserve a president who will protect their rights and lower their costs.

Trump, however, denied these claims in a recent post to Truth Social, a social media platform he launched in October. He stated that he never said that states should monitor women's pregnancies and that this idea was made up by Democrats and the "Fake News Media."

Trump also highlighted the recent state-level actions to preserve access to abortion following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. He reiterated his stance that abortion should be left up to the states and that after 50 years, the issue is finally being settled.

He did, however, stress that there should be limits on abortion, stating that "nobody wants to see abortion in the 7th, 8th, or 9th month" and that there should be no "execution after birth." He urged people to listen to their hearts but also apply common sense, and reminded them that politicians must win elections.

The ongoing feud between the two campaigns highlights the deep political divide in the country. As the 2024 election draws closer, tensions are likely to continue to escalate. It remains to be seen what role the issue of abortion will play in the election, but it is clear that it will be a contentious topic for both campaigns.

For now, both sides are urging supporters to make their voices heard and to stand up for their beliefs. As Americans celebrate Mother's Day, it is important to remember the important role mothers play in our lives and the power they have to effect change in the world. Whichever candidate prevails in the 2024 election, it will be up to all Americans to come together and work towards a better future for mothers and families across the nation.
