President Donald Trump has officially reinstated the White House Faith Office, fulfilling a key campaign promise during one of the most sacred periods on the Christian calendar: Holy Week. The announcement came amid a nationwide observance of Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and the approaching Easter Sunday.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the launch of the office on Tuesday. “The President promised millions of Christians across the country on the campaign trail he would create a White House Faith Office when he returned to the White House and he has delivered on that promise,” Leavitt said.
The Faith Office is overseeing a week-long series of Holy Week celebrations, aimed at highlighting the spiritual and cultural significance of the Easter season.

In a written statement issued Sunday, Trump reflected on the central message of Easter. “During this sacred week, we acknowledge that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross,” the statement read.
He described the Passion of Christ in stark detail, emphasizing the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and resurrection. “On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and light prevails over darkness—signaling that death does not have the final word.”
Trump’s statement also reaffirmed his administration’s intention to protect religious liberty and promote Christian values across American institutions.
“This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government,” he said. “We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.”
The reestablishment of the Faith Office comes amid broader efforts by the Trump administration to elevate faith-based initiatives and strengthen partnerships with religious organizations, particularly Christian communities that represent a significant portion of his political base.
