In his first campaign rally since being convicted in the New York hush-money case, former President Donald Trump drew a large crowd in Las Vegas, emphasizing Nevada's pivotal role in the upcoming 2024 election. Thousands of supporters braved 100-degree heat, lining up early at Sunset Park to hear the presumptive Republican presidential nominee speak.
Despite Trump's recent conviction on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, rallygoers appeared unfazed, showing unwavering support. During his speech, Trump sharply criticized President Joe Biden’s economic and border policies, vowing to "turn this country around."

“[Illegal immigrants] are totally destroying our black population; they’re totally destroying our Hispanic population,” Trump declared. “And you know what else they’re destroying? … They’re killing unions.” He further claimed that nearly all new jobs under Biden had gone to illegal immigrants, undermining American workers.
Trump also condemned Biden's recent executive order on illegal immigration at the southern border, labeling it “pro-invasion, pro-child trafficking, pro-women trafficking, pro-human trafficking, and pro-drug dealers.” His remarks elicited chants of "bulls***" from the energized crowd.
With his border nightmare, Joe Biden is also waging an all-out war on the WORKERS of America—especially African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and union members.

Historically, Nevada has leaned Democratic in recent elections. Hillary Clinton narrowly defeated Trump in 2016, and Biden won the state by a similar margin in 2020. However, recent polling data indicates a shift. The RealClearPolitics average of polls shows Trump leading Biden in Nevada, with a margin of 48.3% to 43%.

Trump emphasized the strategic importance of Nevada, stating, “If we win Nevada, we win the whole thing. We win the whole thing.” As of Monday morning, Trump also led Biden in polling across seven battleground states. In Virginia, a traditionally blue state, Trump is virtually tied with Biden, moving it to a “toss-up” category.
