Controversy is mounting at Disney World as female guests demand the removal and permanent ban of transgender TikTok influencer Lilly Contino, following the release of multiple social media videos in which Contino filmed inside women’s restrooms at the park. The videos, which include footage of other female parkgoers whose faces were not blurred, have raised serious legal and privacy concerns.
According to reporting by Inside the Magic, several women shown in Contino’s videos are reportedly exploring legal options, citing potential violations for invasion of privacy and emotional distress. The content—part of a series where Contino “rates bathrooms” at Disney World—has prompted public backlash and accusations of boundary violations.
Florida’s legal framework may present significant challenges for Contino. Under Florida Statute 810.145, recording or broadcasting someone in a restroom without consent is a felony offense, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
In addition, the Facility Requirements Based on Sex Act, enacted in 2023, mandates that individuals use facilities consistent with their biological sex in certain public and private spaces. It remains legally unclear whether Disney World facilities fall under this statute’s enforcement umbrella.
Despite the growing uproar, Disney has yet to issue any official comment on the matter. The company’s silence has only fueled criticism from guests and commentators, particularly as controversy builds around the influencer’s repeated behavior inside the parks.
Prominent author J.K. Rowling joined the debate online, condemning Contino’s actions as deliberate violations of women’s spaces. “This man’s bathroom photos are trophies,” Rowling wrote, arguing that Contino uses women in the background as “props” to flaunt his intrusion. She referred to him as a “scary-looking creep in mouse ears.”
Contino has shown no signs of backing down. In his own words, he flaunted Florida’s laws and public discomfort, declaring, “Being in Florida or being in California or wherever isn’t gonna stop me.”
In multiple videos, Contino taunted critics and appeared to enjoy the idea of triggering conflict by using women’s restrooms. In one video, he stated, “I don’t know what the rules are…but I’m about to go and use the bathroom, because I have to tinkle. If I get stopped, I get stopped, I guess.”
This is not Contino’s first brush with controversy in Disney parks. Previous incidents include complaints over “misgendering” by Disney staff, sexually suggestive content involving children’s food items, and repeated public complaints that he no longer feels “safe” in Disney spaces.
