Navarro Discusses Protest

Ana Navarro, co-host of ABC’s The View, recounted her participation in the nationwide “No Kings” protests during Monday’s episode, describing a unifying and peaceful experience that transcended racial, generational, and political divides.

The demonstrations, held across the country over the weekend, were staged in opposition to President Donald Trump and coincided with his attendance at a military parade celebrating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.

Navarro participated in the protests in Miami and highlighted the discipline of the crowd, emphasizing the presence of suspected provocateurs attempting to stir confrontation.

“I saw people who were put in the crowd to instigate confrontation… and they did not engage,” Navarro said. “People were saying to each other, ‘Do not engage.’”

She framed the event as an empowering counter to helplessness and isolation, particularly for marginalized communities. “It was so uplifting,” she added. “We ask, ‘What can I do as one person?’ — and the answer is: get off the couch and do something.”

Navarro’s reflections were echoed by her fellow co-hosts. Whoopi Goldberg pointed to the solidarity on display: “Men were out for women, women were out for men, Latinos were out for Black folks… we were all out looking out for each other.”

Goldberg also issued a warning about infiltrators seeking to derail the movement. “There are bad players out there when you are protesting,” she said. “You let everybody else know what you know — not them. Because they are not there for the same reasons we are here.”

Navarro used Instagram over the weekend to express gratitude to those who took part. “Thank you to the millions of people who participated in the thousands of events… Thank you to everyone who is resisting and helping in so many ways. Together we are stronger,” she posted.

The “No Kings” movement framed itself as a pushback not only against Trump-era immigration policies but also against authoritarian tendencies, using Trump’s presence at the military parade as a symbolic backdrop. Despite high tensions and media focus, reports from across the U.S. confirmed that the protests remained largely peaceful.
