‘Morning Joe’ Crew Discusses Upcoming Debate

The hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” went into a full-blown panic on Tuesday, expressing deep dissatisfaction with CNN’s latest announcement about rules for next week’s presidential debate.

Co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski kicked off the morning program by asking a panel of guests about how former President Donald Trump might try and break the rules to win the debate. One of those suggestions included stealing President Joe Biden’s microphone after the network promised to turn off microphones to prevent interruptions.

“He is a disrupter,” Scarborough said of Trump, “and he is going to figure out – you can cut off the microphones, you can do whatever you want to do – he is a disrupter. He doesn’t really know the facts or the issues well at all, so he has to disrupt, he has to shock.”

Referencing a guest’s book about the Soviet Union, Scarborough compared the former president to genocidal communist leaders. “They can’t play by the rules that America plays by because old Soviet Union was inferior intellectually, they were inferior militarily, they were inferior economically, they were inferior politically, and they were inferior in every way. That’s Donald Trump, he cannot debate Joe Biden on the merits!”

Holding court, Scarborough left his guests in silence as he warned the Biden team that they “better be prepared” for Trump to come with his A-game.

“What would a disrupter do? You’re gonna cut off my microphone? I’m gonna walk over to your microphone and I’m gonna get in your face,” he continued, referencing Biden. “Imagine the ten most disruptive things that Donald Trump could do and he’s gonna probably do those very things because he doesn’t play by the rules, and if the Biden camp goes into this thinking he’s gonna play by Marquess of Queensberry Rules, they’re going to be shocked and the night is going to end badly.”

The five-alarm mental fire at MSNBC remains unextinguished this year as Scarborough, Brzezinski, and their rotating series of correspondents and guests continue to float dystopian scenes of a fractured and broken America if President Trump is reelected. In May, Scarborough nearly became apoplectic after seeing a Memorial Day social media post by Eric Trump promoting another post that called Trump “the man who gave up everything to save America.”

“Oh my God, oh my Lord,” Scarborough said while nearly doubling over in his chair. He also took a shot at the former first son over a since-deleted Instagram post promoting a Memorial Day sale on Trump merchandise. “We are honoring our brave men and women this weekend. Please buy our stuff,” joked the host.

In March, one of the show’s guests said Trump was “almost trolling” America by installing new leaders at the Republican National Committee who formerly helped him during the January 6th, 2021 riots at the Capitol.

“It’s a perfect fit for the times they have created,” Willie Geist replied to another guest, saying Trump has worked for over a decade to “preach anger, fear, and lies, a toxic combination.”
