Recently, there have been times when it feels as though everything has been turned upside down. It occasionally has a terrifying quality. Everything in its path seemed to be swept up by the degree of madness. It only adds to the senselessness of it all when biological facts are disregarded.
People can be anything they decide they want to be, according to the "woke culture." To a degree, that's true, but not to the extreme that liberals take it. But just because we claim to be something doesn't mean the truth automatically vanishes. Even if you bark like a dog, you are not actually a dog. If you paint stripes on your body, you're not a tiger.
The gender identity debate has developed the same sense of logic—or lack thereof. While those on the left require little more than simply declaring that they are one thing or another - basically their version of "name it and claim it" - it still doesn't make it true.
Much of this particular discussion revolves around men turning into women and vice versa. It’s led to a huge debate about men transitioning into women but then automatically thinking they should have the right to be considered a woman across every spectrum of society.
The argument created a somewhat contentious debate about women’s athletic competitions. This “all-inclusive, woke movement” insists that people who are otherwise biological men should be allowed to exercise their genetic advantage over true women.
It instantly creates an unfair situation. Many sports legislative bodies are pushing back against the senselessness of this idea. But not everyone is on board with the same logic. Famous singer Macy Gray really hit the nail on the head.
Gray sat down with Piers Morgan on a recent broadcast of his show, “Piers Morgan Uncensored.” The singer rightfully predicted that the opinions she was about to share would trigger a wave of backlash. She turned out to be right.
Gray was attacked by a wave of insults from the “woke mob.” Gray shared her feelings about why having gender reassignment procedures doesn’t truly change the sex that someone really is. Morgan asked Gray to summarize her feelings about “what a woman is.”
She summed her feelings up quite succinctly: “And I will say this, and everybody’s going to hate me, but as a woman, just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman. Sorry.” When asked her definition of a woman, Gray said, “a human being with boobs.”
Almost instantly, the liberal lunacy on social media started. Gray was attacked on Twitter for being a Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF), whatever that’s supposed to be. But these self-proclaimed, all-inclusive whackos adhere to whatever fits their current narrative.
Take, as an example, another famous singer and actress, Bette Midler. Midler would never be mistaken for a sensible conservative. Bette’s about as far out in left field as they come. But her tune changes to meet whatever B.S. narrative she’s trying to promote.
Midler is all for elevating the rights of others, even if these rights defy reality. She’s a huge supporter of transgender equality. However, when the debate over abortion rights heated up, Midler flip-flopped like a fish out of water.
“WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives, and even our name!” she proclaimed on social media. “They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators’, and even ‘people with vaginas’,” Midler screeched!
It seems ironic that someone should scream so loudly in defense of so-called “women’s rights”. And then advocate that someone who was born with a penis should be allowed to compete against biological “birthing people”. It shows the total hypocrisy of these “wild-eyed wokies.”
Well, at least Macy Gray had the “cohunes” to stand up for what she believes. Gray believes in reality. A man can say they’re a woman, but when they show “the goods”, the truth is that they’re not. It’s refreshing to see a sensible person who’s not afraid to “poke the hornet’s nest.”
