Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were shot in an apparent ambush in Compton Saturday evening. The two deputies suffered multiple gunshot wounds in an unprovoked attack on the officers.
The shooter came up from behind on the passenger side and opened fire through the passenger window shooting the two officers. The 31-year-old female deputy and 24-year-old male deputy both underwent surgery Saturday evening and are now out of surgery and expected to survive.
President Donald Trump tweeted about the matter, referring to the officers saying, "If they die, fast trial death penalty for the killer. Only way to stop this!”
We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our brothers and sisters of the @LASDHQ. Our prayers are with the two deputies who are fighting for their lives after being shot multiple times as they sat in their radio car — attacked by a cowardly, violent criminal. https://t.co/uWFXzGA84b

One of the worst parts is instead of leaving the officers alone after they had been shot these animals went to the hospital where the officers were being treated and started protesting there. Here is some footage of that too.
