Alright, folks, let’s talk about Vice President JD Vance and his big speech at the American Dynamism Summit—because this one had everything. Artificial intelligence, economic policy, and even a hilarious text message from the Second Lady that had the room roaring.
Vance took the stage to outline the Trump administration’s vision for America’s future, and let’s just say—it’s a big one. He talked about how AI, when combined with strong American labor and manufacturing, could lead to what he called “the great American manufacturing comeback.” And he didn’t hold back on the administration’s plans to make that happen.
“We're going to slash regulations, we're going to reduce the cost of energy so that you can build, build, build,” Vance declared. “Our goal is to incentivize investment in our own borders, in our own businesses, our own workers, and our own innovation.”

Translation? They’re putting America first—with policies aimed at bringing jobs and innovation home. No more watching American companies take their money and factories overseas. Vance made it clear: they want industry booming right here in the U.S.
Now, let’s get to the really fun part. Vance shared a wild story from a 2017 dinner with Silicon Valley elites, where AI was the hot topic. One billionaire CEO, in particular, casually mentioned that he wasn’t worried about AI replacing human jobs. Why? Because, apparently, out-of-work Americans would just find “purpose” in “digital fully immersive gaming.”
Yeah. You can imagine how that went over.
Vance’s wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, wasn’t having it. She texted him under the table: “We have to get the hell out of here, these people are f-ing crazy.”
And honestly? Can you blame her?
But as JD Vance continues to settle into his role as VP, his wife has had to navigate her own share of nonsense. The left-wing media has of course tried to drag her into the political mud, with CBS News even going after her mother—a University of California San Diego professor—because she supports DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies, while Vance opposes them.
Vance’s response? Classic.
“This story exists because CBS has decided that harassing my mother-in-law is a reasonable price in order to attack President Trump,” he said, before adding, “I love my mother-in-law. If she doesn’t share my views on DEI I suppose I’ll have to do what 99 percent of Americans do when confronted with a family member who doesn’t always agree with them: get over it.”
Boom. Mic drop.
