These Two Historical Monuments Will Not Be Removed Under A New Law, VICTORY

Our country needs to remember our great history and for that to happen statues need to be displayed for future generations.

So many historical monuments have been torn down and called racist or disgusting. It is a sad world we live in that people cannot look at things for what they are instead of pulling strings for things they don’t even know what they are talking about. I bet you 99% of these people wanting these monuments torn down didn’t pay attention in history class growing up or they are just plain ignorant. Well, sorry folks, your feelings are not getting at least these two monuments destroyed.

So this is a victory for the Robert E. Lee and “Stonewall” Jackson monuments. They are staying! Hopefully, we can save many other historical sites and statues for future generations to come. History needs to be remembered so it doesn’t repeat what our ancestors fought so hard for.

From the New York Post:

Statues in Charlottesville of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson are war monuments protected by state law, a Virginia judge has ruled.

The decision comes nearly two years after three people were killed at the “Unite the Right” white nationalist rally after the city of Charlottesville voted to remove the statue of Lee.

Circuit Court Judge Richard E. Moore said the way the statues made people feel did not change the fact they paid homage to the Civil War heroes.

In 2017 Charlottesville City Council voted to have the statue of Robert E. Lee removed but that has recently been decided against. In a lengthy nine-page decision Moore exclaims it is absolutely illegal to remove the statues without permission from the state. So they will stay standing. Moore says, “While some people obviously see Lee and Jackson as symbols of white supremacy, others see them as brilliant military tacticians or complex leaders in a difficult time.”

Neither Robert E. Lee or Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson were slave owners. Lee emancipated the slaves he inherited upon reaching his majority before the Civil War began. Jackson was actively teaching slaves to read, while doing so was against the law in Virginia. Both men fought for the Confederacy because they believed their State had a right to seccede from the Union, a very commonly held belief in many States at that time in our history. The Civil War changed that belief for all time. People that protest monuments like this, need to pull their head out and actually read a… Read more »

It’s about time Americans stopped imitating intolerant fundamentalist Islamists who aren’t advanced enough to tolerate any other religion, statue or symbol other than those permitted by their ideology.

General of the Union Army, U. S. Grant did not free his slaves until the war had been over for two years.

The progressive socialist liberal democrats worship the State, abortion is their sacrament and a submissive, powerless, defenseless population is their goal. There, I think I used all the buzz words. Oh, did I mention the continued empowerment of ANTIFA, like in Portland and Seattle, will help. Thankfully the Virginia democrats have given us all a peek behind the curtain.

The blacks in africa captured other tribes and sold them into slavery. Blacks in the United States were slave owners as well as long as they had the money. Crimes and low education is the plight of many blacks in the United States today and that needs to be the focus. Leesville, louisiana is named in honor of the United States of America General Robert E. Lee

The Democrats became anti-American after JFK’s assaination. They have been going downhill ever since and becoming socialist communists.

Wonder how things would have turned out if General Lee had won.
