For more than a year now, there has been a national security and humanitarian crisis happening at the U.S. southern border. The crisis began even before Joe Biden cheated his way into the White House.
His liberal open border announcements made during the 2020 presidential campaign made things fester. As soon as he moved into the White House, a migrant surge towards our border burst open. Since then, it has festered into an overwhelming wave of illegal border crossings.
Virtually every month since Biden took office, the number of illegal migrants entering our country has set a new record. All along the southern border, communities are being swamped by a deluge of humanity. Many of these illegal migrants are dangerous criminals.
What the Biden administration is doing directly violates federal law. Nevertheless, they continue to defy both the law and the wishes of the American people. One border state governor has had enough.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s job is to defend the safety of Texans. He takes his job seriously. Abbott has watched his border communities get overwhelmed by these Biden-triggered migrant waves. Governor Abbott has been forced to take drastic measures.
Americans have watched with their own eyes a crisis that continues to get worse. Nonetheless, the Biden administration has either denied its existence, or deflected blame. Governor Abbott, with support from his fellow Texans, is going to make sure Biden gets a first-hand look.
Abbott contends that if the Biden administration won’t fix the problem, or persists in denying it is a problem, perhaps a firsthand look would help. The Texas Governor is finalizing the legal details of a fantastic plan.
Abbott believes that if Joe Biden wants all these undocumented, illegal, and frequently criminal elements in our country, he can deal with them. Governor Abbott is orchestrating a program to load illegal migrants, which Joe Biden has allowed into the U.S. illegally, on buses.
Where are the buses headed? These illegal migrants, a mind-boggling burden on Texas taxpayers, will be carted off to Washington, D.C. During a press conference to address the cancellation of Title 42, the Texas Governor announced his plan.
Loaded with Biden’s illegal migrants, an estimated 900 charter buses are ready to roll out of Texas. The governor stressed that more buses are available if necessary. These buses will dump their human cargo on the front steps of the U.S. Capitol.
At the press conference, Abbot explained his reasoning. “We are sending them to the United States Capitol, where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.”
There are plans in place for enhanced inspections at the southern border as well. Abbott is adding boat blockades at points on the Rio Grande River. In addition, Texas state workers will submerge “razor wire at low water crossings in high traffic areas.” This crisis must be stopped.
The Biden open border policy is by design. His administration has tried to deflect blame for the crisis he created. Joe Biden and the liberal Democrats want a wave of illegal migrants spewing across the border. To liberal Democrats, this is a bottomless pit of potential new voters.
The Biden border policy is destroying our communities. People have had enough. One U.S. governor is taking a stand. There will be pushback, but it’s refreshing to see someone stand up to corruption. Governor Abbott says if Joe Biden won’t stop illegal migration, let him deal with it.
