On January 6, 2021, what had been a rather calm demonstration in the United States Capitol degenerated into a disorderly ruckus. Accidents occurred, and some people were hurt. In the end, some died, even if it was from suicide or natural reasons. Sadly, on January 6, one person who did die was Ashli Babbitt.
But violent extremists were not responsible for Ashli Babbitt's death. Actually, Capitol Hill police shot and killed the protester. No one else passed away on January 6, 2021, despite the false assertions of liars. And I must disagree with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the leader of the radical team, but "almost 10 people" didn't pass away.
There was only one fatality, and she was practically a spectator. But like AOC, the left-wing progressives have used a string of bad events that occurred on January 6 to launch a partisan political assassination. They want everyone to think that a few of individuals who took selfies with police officers were insurrectionists.
They weren’t. It’s that simple. Even Joe Biden proclaimed, “They were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, and domestic terrorists. It’s that basic. It’s that simple.” A few months later, Sleepy Joe compared the riot to an act of “sedition.”
It wasn’t. But on the anniversary of the most devastating terrorist attack on U.S. soil, other far-left Democrats are making the most unheard of claims yet. Democrat Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Mark Warner compared the crowd to the 9/11 masterminds.
Warner, another radical liberal in line with AOC, thinks a protest that got out of hand is equal to a terrorist attack that leveled buildings and killed thousands of Americans. It wasn’t. Americans should see these bogus claims for what they are; political theater.
The left-wing rag, The New York Times, ran an article that suggested a bunch of people died on January 6. The facts speak for themselves. Ashli Babbitt is the only person to die. The NY Times article was titled “These Are the People Who Died in Connection With the Capitol Riot.”
Again, this article should have been brief. An obituary for Ashli Babbitt would have sufficiently covered the topic. But the radical rag had to stir up hatred and controversy. That’s the leftist strategy. Lie and distort the facts to trigger fear, which creates bitter animosity.
AOC’s bogus tweet mentions “almost 10 dead.” How can a person be “almost dead?” What this is is a statement that’s “almost the truth.” It’s almost the truth, but mostly a boldfaced lie. But the comment by Virginia Senator Warner is the most egregious yet.
To compare a few soccer moms and fishing dads to international terrorists is absurd. But that’s where the liberal left lives, in the world of the absurd. Those who got caught up in the chaos that ensued on January 6 made some ill-advised decisions.
People may well have been guilty of a few misdemeanor offenses. However, only a single person died, not thousands of innocent Americans. To compare January 6 protesters to seditionists or insurrectionists is political theater. But comparing them to terrorists is appalling!
