Americans who question the legitimacy of questionable elections are stigmatized, despite mountains of evidence demonstrating incompetence and outright fraud. They are referred to as "election deniers." They have issues with the fact that our elections can be rigged and stolen, period.
It is our democracy's biggest threat, period. The majority of experts agree that Arizona's 2022 midterm elections were a disaster. There were so many issues, many think a fresh election should be held and the election results completely thrown out.
Both the Arizona governor's campaign and the fight for the U.S. Senate were crucial. The election, conveniently run by the Democrat Party's nominee for governor, was, however, a complete disaster. On election day, thousands of ballots could not be counted.
The voting precincts ran out of paper. They didn’t run out of paper at the tail end of the day because of heavy turnout. They ran out of paper virtually the minute the polls opened. Since Republicans are noteworthy for voting on Election Tuesday, this seemed rather suspicious.
Even more bizarre was how election workers handled all the issues. In one instance, voters were told to just toss their completed ballots into cardboard boxes to be counted later. What could possibly go wrong with that birdbrain solution?
In a nutshell, Arizona’s handling of the 2022 midterm elections was appalling. Maricopa County, the largest in Arizona, had more errors and problems than the whole country put together. There is no way the election results from Maricopa County should be rightfully certified.
That’s exactly how many members of the board of elections feels. However, the “powers that be” within the progressive left demand that the election be blindly certified despite a clear list of unacceptable concerns.
In fact, officials are threatening anyone who disagrees with jail time. One member of the Mohave County, Arizona, Board of Supervisors bluntly said, “I vote Aye under duress.” This person clearly feels they are being forced to vote to certify the election results.
Ron Gould tweeted, “I found out today that I have no choice but to vote "aye" or I will be arrested and charged with a felony.” Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake posted the full 32-second transcript of Gould’s statement.
Gould said, “I vote aye, under duress. I found out today that I have no choice but to vote aye or I’ll be arrested and charged with a felony. I don’t think that is what our founders had in mind when they used the democratic process to elect our leaders in our form of self-government.
Gould’s statement before the board of supervisors continued, “I find that very disheartening. With a vote of four ayes and zero nays, you’ve approved Item 1B. Is there anything else for the good of the order? We are adjourned.”

How many more instances of election irregularities across the nation are being hidden? Are there other precincts in the country where no one feels safe speaking out against unrealistic election results?
How many are being silenced before they get an opportunity to talk? The threats in Arizona were exposed. Are there members of the election board being threatened, but they’re too worried about their jobs or community standing to say anything?
Ron Gould is correct. Being forced to certify suspicious election results “is not what our founding fathers had in mind.” When an election cannot be certified because of rampant fraud, or corruption, or negligence, or all of the above, it cannot be.
When this many questions about election results exist, the election must be redone. There should be no other solution. Recounting ballots in an election with so many obvious problems will do nothing but produce election results still tainted by the issues.
It will cost money to redo an election. That’s understandable. However, if this is the course of action required when election boards fail, they will soon begin to do their jobs. There can be no other remedy. American democracy depends on safe and secure elections.
In many parts of the U.S., the 2022 midterms were anything but. It’s time to stand up for what’s right. Maybe the Mohave County Board of Supervisors should have stepped up and been heroes. If someone is threatened with arrest for speaking their mind, something is wrong.
