We are now mere days away from seeing Donald Trump become only the third US President to be impeached by the House of Representatives.
This time on charges stemming from the hearsay relayed by an anonymous whistleblower.
Of course, one of the most prevalent complaints being made regarding this impeachment process is that the Democrats were just simply looking for a reason to impeach Donald Trump, and have been doing so from the very start of his political career.
This is a charge the left has been forced to defend time and time again, attempting to convince the nation that it was only the UkraineGate whistleblower conspiracy theory that initiated the proceedings.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has now blown that theory out of the water.
On Tuesday in Washington, D.C., at Politico’s Women Rule Summit, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted the impeachment process of President Donald Trump has been going on for “two and a half” years.
When asked about criticisms of “the speed” of the House Democrats impeachment, Pelosi replied, “Speed? It’s been going on 22 months—two and a half years, actually.”
She continued, “I think we are not moving with speed. Was it two a half years ago they initiated the Mueller investigation? It’s not about speed. It’s about urgency. One of the charges against the president of the United States—saying he was violating the oath of office by asking for government to interfere in our election undermining the integrity of our elections.”
The House of Representatives is currently in the middle of a marathon, two-day debate on the articles of impeachment themselves, which are currently obstruction of Congress and abuse of power.
