Mayor Who Compared Trump Supporters To KKK Members Dies In Plane Crash

Dr. Bill Kirby was in a horrible plane accident this past Saturday in the morning near Auburn Municipal Airport.

He was a licensed pilot so we are awaiting the news of what happened to cause the grizzly plane accident. As you may know, he in the past made several nasty remarks about Trump and his supporters. He said he was done and resigned from being Mayor just last Monday.

According to NBC News:

Dr. Bill Kirby, who was the mayor of Auburn, died in the crash Saturday morning near the Auburn Municipal Airport, officials told the Bee.

Kirby, a urologist, was the pilot of the plane that crashed shortly after 11 a.m., the newspaper reported. A passenger in the plane suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The Bee reported that a Facebook post from Sacramento political consultant Jeff Raimundo carried a statement from the Kirby family confirming he was the victim.

His family said he was enthusiastic and loving,

“Our family is devastated by this tragic news,” the statement by the family said.

“Bill devoted decades of enthusiastic and loving support to his family, his patients and the Auburn community he loved so much. We will miss him immensely but take comfort in knowing he died while flying – one of the other loves of his life.”

He was 72 and a licensed pilot since 2009 from what has been reported. Kirby associated Trump supporters to KKK members in the past before he resigned as a mayor of Aubrun, California right before the plane accident occurred.

It is sad for anyone to lose a loved one however, I am grateful his passenger has survived but what he had said in the past was horribly negative and disgusting. I hope he rests in peace.
