While the crazies are all out panic buying and depriving other people to buy their groceries I've been more concerned about what is next.
People are undeniably scavengers and turn crazy much like zombies in my opinion when things like this happen. I live in a state where if the weather forecasters say we will have ice or snow people buy all the milk and bread for Milk Sandwiches.
Ridiculous I know.
So far my household is pretty normal except when I need to do my weekly shopping for dinners etc. Finding meat has been a hassle.
However, President Trump thinks this thing will be all done and over by Easter. He has pretty good points but I don't know what to think. I feel like it is honestly too soon to tell if this thing will be buckled down well enough.
According to ABC News
President Trump announces America will be "open for business very soon" during a "virtual town hall" on Tuesday afternoon. He added that he would "love to have the country opened up by Easter."
"It's such an important day for other reasons, but I will make it an important day for this: I would love to have the country opened up, and they are just raring to go, by Easter," Trumps said.
"We lose thousands of people a year to the flu. We never turn the country off,” he continued, “We lose much more than that to automobile accidents. We didn't call up the automobile companies and say, ‘Stop making cars. We don't want any cars anymore.’ We have to get back to work."
"I think it’s possible. Why isn’t it? We’ve never closed the country before and we’ve had some pretty bad flus," he added. "We have to get our country back to work ... In my opinion, more people are going to die if we allow this to continue."
"Look, you're going to lose a number of people to the flu. But you're going to lose more people by putting a country into a massive recession or depression. You're going to lose people. You're going to have suicides by the thousands. You're going to have all sorts of things happen," Trump said. "You're going to have instability. You can't just come in and say, 'Let's close up the United States of America, the biggest -- the most successful country in the world by far.'
Seems like good news to me but also will this virus be handled by then? That's the big question and concern to many Americans.
