The mainstream media is absolutely appalling and a thorn in the side of society.
We would be much better off if we would all just turn off the lies of CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and social media as well.
One of the biggest problems I have with people, in general, is hypocrisy. It is just something that I cannot stand. Liberals are notorious for being hypocrites as well as never confessing when they're wrong. They've entirely forgotten what it means to be a good person.
There seems to be a big change in the attitude of the Washington Post towards the detention of unaccompanied minors by the agencies responsible for maintaining U.S. border security.
It appears that there is a fluid nature of the media narrative concerning illicit border crossings.
Just a few short months ago, during the contentious 2020 presidential election, an anti-Trump editorial in the newspaper alluded to the image of migrant children "torn" from parental custody and confined to cages. The Washington Post deemed this harsh "tableaux" illustrative of President Trump's border policies.
Today, the same newspaper (still owned by Jeff Bezos) describes the center as they reported the, “First migrant facility for children opens under Biden.”
“Dozens of migrant teens boarded vans Monday for the trip down a dusty road to a former man camp for oil field workers here, the first migrant child facility opened under the Biden administration,” said the story. “The emergency facility — a vestige of the Trump administration that was open for only a month in summer 2019 — is being reactivated to hold up to 700 children ages 13 to 17.”
Some 5,700 border apprehensions occurred this January, highlighting a significant uptick in dangerous desert treks by unsupervised youngsters. Apparently, the newspaper now finds it appropriate to describe President Biden as opening the "first" facility for youth ages 13 to 17 in a former oil worker campground.
So apparently, they're through with calling them "kids in cages" and not this sounds like a resort spa.

It is so crazy to me as well to ignore how much of this actually came from prior (and Democratic) administrations. But you know they won't talk about that. Democrats don't talk about things that make them look bad or feel uncomfortable. They just ignore it and hope that it goes away. That's not how problem-solving works and that's why nothing productive ever gets done in D.C.
