Grown Man Sues Popeye's For "False Advertising"

As most everyone knows Popeyes came out with the now very well known, Chicken Sandwich recently.

I don't know if you have tried it but it isn't all about the hype it is getting. Definfinally, not something you would think someone would be sued over much less the company.

A Tennesee Man was so upset he couldn't get his hands on this famous new sandwich he is SUING Popeyes! And for a whopping $5000. That would buy 1000 popeyes sandwiches.

So I guess if he wins he can eat them till he gets sick.

Craig Barr, the angry chicken sandwich suer, is filing for "false advertising” and “deceptive business practices”.

He drove all over for "countless hours" and went to many Popeyes without being able to get the Sandwich in his hands, or belly. If you don\'t know it was released August 12th and sold out that same day apparently.

Because of the craze over this sandwich people are selling them on the streets for $2,000 or more. Some even close to $20,000 on eBay for a "buy it now" price or on Facebook Marketplace.

It is a lot like when a limited quantity new game system comes out months before being released. People were doubling or tripling prices on them to make money off it.

Jose Cil, the CEO of Restaurant Brands International, who owns Popeye’s, said they never expected the sandwich to “break the internet” during an interview with CNN.

“We had the entire nation really excited about the Popeyes’ chicken sandwich and as a result, we ran out much sooner than we anticipated.”

The craze was so intense for this Sandwich because Popeyes was in a war against ChickFilA. Which many know ChickFilA has its own political views that have deterred some consumers.

I don't know about you but ChickFilA has one of the best "fast food" Chicken sandwiches. Definitely not even close to the Popeyes Internet sensational Chicken Sandwich.
