The untimely death of the beautiful Gabby Petito was a tragedy. However, maybe the biggest tragedy is the lack of timeliness in exposing how the young lady died. A nation was left with a wondering imagination after a police report was shared when she was still deemed missing.
The report covered a seemingly meaningless dispute between Petito and her boyfriend Brian Laundrie. The incident is no longer meaningless. Obviously, the strain of a cross-country adventure caused something to snap.
Laundrie returned to his parent’s home in North Port, Florida without Petito. A frantic search for Petito began, but Laundrie remained suspiciously silent and hidden. At some point, Laundrie simply vanished. It appears that Brian Laundrie has vanished into thin air.
Over the next few days, a body was discovered in Teton County, Colorado. The body has been identified as Gabby Petito. However, that is where anything concrete about the case stopped. The only revelation from the Teton County Coroner is that Petito was a victim of homicide.
But how was she killed? If it was a murder, then who committed it? An even odder event is the coroner withholding Petito’s remains from her family. Famed forensic pathologist, and Fox News contributor, Dr. Michael Baden insists this is “very unusual”.
The agency in Colorado has also not released any cause of death, if they know one. Baden believes this completely rules out any alternatives to homicide. He says that Petito did not die by suicide, accident or natural causes.
She was killed. Furthermore, Baden believes the FBI is being cautious to avoid mistakes that could compromise a murder conviction. As a pathologist, Baden says everything to prosecute the case from a coroner’s standpoint is right there.
Because of this, he’s still baffled at why the coroner will not release the remains. Baden was the chief medical examiner for New York City. He is currently involved in the high-profile death of Jeffrey Epstein.
Baden was further perplexed at why the agency released the manner of death before they released the actual cause. The famous pathologists say by publicly revealing the manner, they are convinced it was a homicide.
That much, Baden insists, is guaranteed. Any reason for why Petito’s family has not been reunited with her remains is a mystery. According to a trained pathologist, it’s very unusual. But, there have been lots of peculiarities and unusual things surrounding the death of Gabby Petito.
However, maybe the most unusual is the strange disappearance of Brain Laundrie. If Laundrie didn’t murder Petito, then why is hiding? One thing about the case that is not unusual is that there is the smell of a rat.
