Well, folks, they’re back! The Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame is making their big return to television, and it’s already shaping up to be a reunion filled with southern charm, humor, and a whole lot of duck calls.
A&E has officially announced Duck Dynasty: The Revival, a reboot of the wildly popular 2010s reality series that made the Louisiana-based family a household name. And if you’ve been missing Willie, Korie, Uncle Si, and the gang, get ready—because the first of two new seasons will hit the airwaves this summer.
The revival is promising to bring fans a closer look at the family’s life today, from the continued success of their iconic Duck Commander business to the next generation of Robertsons. That’s right—the kids who once made brief appearances on the show are now adults with lives of their own, and there’s even a gaggle of grandchildren to meet. It’s a full-circle moment for longtime fans, and the network couldn’t be happier to have the Robertsons back on board.
Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President at A&E, said it best: “The Robertsons earned a seat in homes across the country with their unique brand of downhome practicality, southern charm, and relatable humor.”
It’s hard to argue with that. During its initial run from 2012 to 2017, Duck Dynasty didn’t just become a reality TV hit—it became a cultural phenomenon. Over 11 seasons, it brought viewers into the Robertsons’ world, blending family values, business savvy, and hilariously quirky moments.

Willie and Korie Robertson echoed the excitement in a statement, saying, “Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home. We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.” If the original series taught us anything, it’s that “misadventures” are practically a guarantee.
Of course, no Duck Dynasty series would be complete without fan-favorite characters like Uncle Si and Miss Kay. Both are set to return, along with the now-adult Robertson children—Sadie, John Luke, Bella, Will, and Rebecca. However, there’s one notable absence: family patriarch Phil Robertson. Fans may remember that Phil found himself in hot water during the original series over comments he made about homosexuality in a 2013 GQ interview. The controversy led to a brief hiatus for Phil, though he later returned to the show and has continued to speak openly about his faith. While Phil isn’t listed as an on-camera presence for the revival, his larger-than-life personality and influence on the family will undoubtedly still resonate.
Since Duck Dynasty went off the air nearly eight years ago, the Robertsons have kept busy. Sadie has built a career as a social media influencer and author, while Willie and Korie have continued to oversee the family’s business ventures. And now, with a new series on the horizon, they’re ready to share this next chapter with their loyal fans.
