DOJ Investigating Musk Company

It may seem like something out of a spy novel, but something strange and sinister is happening around Elon Musk and President Joe Biden.

In the runup to the November 2020 presidential election, Biden publicly made some cryptic comments about going after Musk when asked point blank if he was a “national security threat” or if he should be investigated for his purchase of Twitter (now known as X). Biden refused to answer directly, but said the purchase of X was “worth being looked at.” When asked how he would go about doing that Biden simply chuckled and said, “There’s a lot of ways.”

In a recent announcement, it appears that Biden has chosen to act on these words. The U.S. Department of Justice has announced a lawsuit against Musk’s SpaceX for “allegedly discriminating against asylees and refugees in hiring.” The Department alleges that SpaceX refused to hire asylees and refugees for positions, instead preferring to hire U.S. Citizens and legal residents.

Although the investigation is reportedly limited to the discrimination issue, its timing and sequence of events have some people concerned. Whether the investigation is legitimate or part of an insidious plan to punish Musk for his political stances and free-speech advocacy is anyone’s guess. The fact remains that since the election, Biden has made a habit of making vague threats against perceived opponents of the Left.

Take, for example, Senator Chuck Schumer’s ominous warning to former President Donald J. Trump. Schumer said, “You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways till Sunday at getting at you. So even for a practical, supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he’s being real dumb to do this.” Well, we all know what happened to Trump after that, don’t we?

The Biden Administration seems to be relying on the government’s power to go after its political enemies. This was further evidenced when Biden seemingly predicted the Nordstream Pipeline 2 explosion before it happened. When asked how the pipeline would be taken down, Biden responded, “I promise you will be able to do that.” Though the intelligence community initially blamed Russia, sources now say it was Ukrainian special forces, and that the U.S. knew months in advance.

At the end of the day, this new investigation against SpaceX should make all citizens concerned, not just Musk himself. If the government’s power is used to target people based on political beliefs and not actual wrongdoing, then freedom and democracy itself are threatened. So far, the Biden Administration has made it abundantly clear that perceived opponents of the Left will not be tolerated. And the SpaceX investigation appears to be just the first in a series of actions taken against the president’s enemies.
