On Wednesday, President Trump released a statement strongly condemning the FBI, government officials, and big tech companies who have been working together to censor and punish those with dissenting opinions. He applauded Elon Musk’s ‘Twitter Files’ for uncovering the evidence that these agencies had been engaged in an illegal conspiracy to control the public’s perception of news and information.
Trump focused on how the Biden family has benefitted from this corruption, citing the infamous laptop scandal as an example of federal authorities attempting to keep damaging information about Hunter Biden away from the public. He went on to describe how government censorship was used to suppress dissenting opinions on issues related to the pandemic and elections.
“In the most recent and notorious example, the FBI worked to stop the truth from being told about the Biden family’s criminality,” said Trump. “They work so hard to stop it from coming out, and the corruption prior to the 2020 election, they didn’t want any bad information to come out about the Biden family.”
“The censorship of the laptop from hell is only the beginning of the story about the weaponization of government against free speech,” he continued. “We must have free speech in our country. We must have a fair and free press.”
The president was adamant that these actions were not taken in order to save lives, but were instead intended to help powerful corporations gain control over American citizens. In order for true freedom of speech and opinion to be restored in this country, Trump called for immediate congressional hearings led by his administration to investigate the role of federal agencies in censorship.
He concluded his speech by reassuring Americans that when he is reelected as president, he will do everything in his power to end this illegal censorship regime and ensure that everyone’s right to free speech is respected once again. Trump made it clear that those responsible for attempting to silence people must be prosecuted for their crimes if justice is truly going to be served.
