Bondi Give Press Conference Following Arrest of Alleged Gang Member

Federal authorities arrested one of MS-13’s top national leaders in a major law enforcement operation conducted in Northern Virginia. The raid, overseen by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, resulted in the apprehension of the 24-year-old gang figure early yesterday morning. Despite his age, the suspect has been active in the violent transnational criminal organization for over a decade and rapidly ascended to a senior leadership position.

Officials confirmed the operation was supported by extensive intelligence and coordination across federal agencies. Documents seized during the arrest indicate the suspect’s high-ranking status within MS-13’s U.S. command structure. The raid is being hailed as a significant disruption to one of the most violent gangs operating in the United States, responsible for a long record of murders, human trafficking, and drug smuggling.

At a press conference following the arrest, Attorney General Bondi described the operation as a major win in the ongoing federal effort to dismantle organized crime. She emphasized the importance of continued, coordinated law enforcement initiatives to target criminal networks with transnational reach.

However, during the briefing, Bondi was questioned about a separate issue unrelated to the MS-13 operation. A reporter asked about recent media coverage of the so-called “Signa” incident, where Trump administration officials, including CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, were reportedly involved in a government-approved encrypted chat. That chat, according to The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, mistakenly included a journalist and allegedly contained sensitive military discussions regarding strikes on Houthi terrorist targets.

Bondi responded firmly. She stated the information exchanged in the chat was not classified and reiterated that successful military operations against hostile entities like the Houthis should be recognized as accomplishments, not controversies. She declined to comment further on internal communications involving national security personnel.

Before closing the press conference, Bondi redirected attention to unresolved issues of improper handling of classified material by Democratic leaders. She referenced the uncharged incidents involving Hillary Clinton’s private email server and classified documents found at President Biden’s home—materials reportedly accessible to Hunter Biden.
