Following a series of recent shootings, Democrats have gone crazy in their calls for gun regulation. After all, this is their big chance. They have full control of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the White House.
But, as we approach another election, I'm beginning to wonder whether this is just a ruse by the Democrats. I believe they genuinely want gun regulation, but I also believe they relish the opportunity to utilize it to their advantage.
Biden declared, "We should limit how many rounds a weapon can hold. Why in God's name should an ordinary citizen be able to purchase an assault weapon that holds 30-round magazines, that let mass shooters fire hundreds of bullets in a matter of minutes?"
BREAKING: Biden calls for the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban to be reinstated
"We need to ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines, and if we can't ban assault weapons, then we should raise the age to purchase them from 18 to 21." pic.twitter.com/sTWXlZaNfK

This is something that I just answered last week, and I know that you all already know the answer yourselves. There have been several occasions where multiple people have attacked a person at their home, each of them with their own weapons. We are not all trained marksmen and people miss sometimes.
For the sake of the argument, let's say that Biden wants handguns limited to 6 rounds per magazine. That means you have only two bullets per person to defend yourself with. But they're criminals and criminals do not obey the law, so they have many more bullets than you have and they can unload on you. You need more bullets in a situation like this.
What about magazines that hold 30 rounds for something like an AR-15? Which isn't an assault rifle, it's just a semi-automatic rifle...like most guns in circulation now. Well, need I remind you of the chaos that unfolded following George Floyd where hundreds of people went into anarchy mode and destroyed cities?
Joe Biden's call for the reinstatement of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban really isn't going to put a dent into crime.
Under the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994, the definition of "assault weapon" included specific semi-automatic firearm models by name, and other semi-automatic firearms that possessed two or more from a set certain features:
Semi-automatic rifles able to accept detachable magazines and has two or more of the following:
- Folding or telescoping stock
- Pistol grip
- Bayonet mount
- Flash hider or threaded barrel designed to accommodate one
- Grenade launcher
Semi-automatic pistols with detachable magazines and two or more of the following:
- Magazine that attaches outside the pistol grip
- Threaded barrel to attach barrel extender, flash suppressor, handgrip, or suppressor
- Barrel shroud safety feature that prevents burns to the operator
- A manufactured weight of 50 ounces (1.41kg) or more when the pistol is unloaded
- A semi-automatic version of a fully automatic firearm.
Semi-automatic shotguns with two or more of the following:
-
Folding or telescoping stock
-
Pistol grip
-
A fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds
-
Detachable magazine.
The fact of the matter is that it's very likely that you will not ever be put in a position that you would need that sort of ammunition, but we have every right to be prepared in the even that something like that does occur. Obviously, cowardly police aren't going to do much about it because they might get shot themselves. If they don't have the cojones to saves children from a madman, they sure as heck aren't going to have the courage to save you.
