The progressive left is pushing the false narrative that the United States is irredeemably racist. It's not, but they continue to propagate this lie in order to undermine public confidence in the country. This is also the narrative of their radical base.
In order to destroy a country, it is necessary to demoralize its citizens. If they believe that their country is fundamentally flawed, they will be more willing to accept unnecessary changes in order to fix what is "wrong." But most people do not want to be viewed as bad, even if they are not.
This is just one tactic in the progressive left's radical racist playbook. They repeat these lies so often that it is like a broken record. For example, when Georgia passed legislation to protect the integrity of elections, it was criticized as being racist.
According to the racism-spewing radical left, Georgia was purposefully suppressing the vote. The funny thing is, during the 2022 midterm elections, Georgia set all-time records for voter turnout. We guess that bogus claim wasn’t as true as liberals would have the nation believe.
In one small Arkansas community, the voter turnout wasn’t anything astronomical. However, one candidate running for the office of mayor in Earle, Arkansas, was rather “astronomical.” The fact that Jaylen Smith was a Democrat or that he was black makes no difference.
But the notion that this young, newly elected mayor, graduated from high school less than 12 months ago is remarkable. The 18-year-old Smith is the duly elected mayor of the town of 1,831 residents. Smith defeated Nemi Matthews to become the youngest black mayor in the U.S.
The young mayor-elect received 235 votes to defeat Matthews by 50 votes. Smith told CNN, “I didn’t run to make a name for myself. I ran because I wanted to help my community and move my community in the direction that it needed to be moved in.”
The teenage political prodigy reported that his first focus will be to improve public safety and transportation. Smith says he will promote legislation to tear down abandoned houses, plus bring a much-needed grocery store to Earle. Matthews said there are no hard feelings.
The families have been friends for years and will continue to be. Matthews was gracious in defeat. He insisted, “No animosity, anything, as far me and Jaylen are concerned. Everything has been cordial. If I can help him do anything, I’ll do it, and likewise with him.”
Smith was also a special education student with a diagnosed learning disability. He has overcome multiple odds to secure a spot as the leader of his community. Smith insists, “This disability does not take away from what I am able to do.”
The left will continue to push a bogus narrative about America being irretrievably racist. It’s a lie. Voters turned out in record numbers during the 2022 midterms. The minority vote was especially strong. In Arkansas, a young minority man proved American democracy is alive and well.
